Nassau Inn Integrates FaxCore with ETHERFAX to Automate Fax Communications for Hotel Operations

Marlboro, NJ (August 24, 2010) – ETHERFAX, Inc., today announced that Nassau Inn, a unique historic hotel located in Princeton, NJ dating back to 1756, has replaced its fax machines with an integrated fax server solution. Utilizing FaxCore electronic fax services with ETHERFAX, Nassau Inn now has the capability to send and receive fax communications which are transported over the Internet, reducing costs and improving workflow processes.

Prior to the implementation of FaxCore and ETHERFAX, Nassau Inn manually processed all contracts via fax machines. These documents were then scanned and imported into Nassau Inn’s hotel management system.

“The process to centrally manage fax communications within out hotel management system was cumbersome, requiring too many steps,” explained Lori Rabon, general manager of the Nassau Inn. “With FaxCore and ETHERFAX, all faxes are electronically stored and easy to import, saving time and paper. Additionally, we have extended the system to enable guests to fax documents from email, offering a value-added service at no charge.”

Nassau Inn processes approximately 3,000 faxes per month. With the volume of faxes growing each month, its existing fax machine environment was too costly to operate, when factoring in telecommunications costs, toner, paper and the time associated with administering faxes. It needed a system to streamline communications and integrate with other back-office and front-office systems. Nassau Inn evaluated RightFAX and GFI before selecting FaxCore, which was attractively priced.

Integrating ETHERFAX, Nassau Inn eliminated the need for costly telephone lines. It now provides all sales and executive staff with personalized fax numbers. ETHERFAX leverages the Internet to send and receive faxes, significantly reducing costs. According to Dominik Huzar, IT administrator for Nassau Inn, “ETHERFAX provided the capability of utilizing existing Internet infrastructure versus purchasing and managing more circuits. It also eliminated the need for costly fax boards and allowed us to utilize our VMware infrastructure.”

“With ETHERFAX, Nassau Inn no long has to maintain a telecommunications infrastructure in-house,” explained Paul Banco, vice president of strategic alliances at ETHERFAX. “Hotel management, staff and guests are now able to send and receive all types of documents, including contracts and other important billing transactions.”
