ETHERFAX to Showcase Secure Cloud-Based Fax Solutions at HIMSS Conference 2018

ETHERFAX Enables 100% Encrypted Document Delivery for Healthcare Organizations with its ETHERFAX Secure Exchange Network (SEN) and SENx Solution

Holmdel, New Jersey (February 26, 2018) – ETHERFAX today announced that it will showcase its patented Secure Exchange Network (SEN) for healthcare organizations and the new ETHERFAX SENx solution offering true end-to-end encryption using methods defined by the Elliptic Curve Integrated Encryption Scheme (ECIES) at the HIMSS Conference and Exhibition on March 5-9, 2018.

As security threats, data breaches and cyberattacks continue to rise, using well-defined encryption systems are vital to protect sensitive information. Leveraging the ECIES standard, ETHERFAX SENx securely transfers information between two endpoints. Each transaction begins with the exchange of public keys, allowing “shared secrets” to be generated to seed the encryption process with unique keying material only known to the endpoints. Information is further protected through signing and authentication mechanisms to assure the validity of the data in transit. ETHERFAX is the only fax service provider to offer ECIES encryption to subscribers through its APIs.

“We are excited to attend this year’s HIMSS Conference in Las Vegas to exhibit our new solution. As the framework allows for all types of content to be securely exchanged without having to change a single process, devices and applications are already taking advantage of SENx,” Paul Banco, CEO of ETHERFAX said. “Our solution enables high-resolution, digital content to be securely transferred between subscribers within the ETHERFAX network, regardless of device type or application. Information is fully encrypted from the moment it leaves the sending device or application until it is accepted and validated by the receiving party.”

ETHERFAX SEN is the world’s largest fax network, leveraging military-grade encryption and hybrid cloud technology to provide 100 percent secure communications. Supporting every major fax server, application and fax-enabled device, ETHERFAX has more connected endpoints providing end-to-end encryption than any other service.

While traditional fax machines have a reputation for being slow, ETHERFAX allows healthcare organizations to send more than 100 fax pages in seconds without compromising security or reliability. ETHERFAX improves communications between fax servers and various fax applications as well physicians, pharmacies, and insurance companies, while boosting the speed at which diagnostics are delivered in life-dependent situations. By supporting advanced document types and providing faster transmissions of high-resolution, full-color documents, ETHERFAX redefines fax technology for the modern era.
