We are excited to announce our attendance at HIMSS 2017 in Orlando!
The annual conference and exhibition brings together more than 40,000 health IT professionals, clinicians, executives and vendors from around the world.
This year at HIMSS, we are showcasing the ETHERFAX Secure Exchange Network for healthcare organizations and the ETHERFAX Integration Module for legacy systems.
One of the biggest problems facing the healthcare industry today is exchanging unstructured data across applications and EMRs.
IDC reported that by 2020, 80 percent of all healthcare data will be passed through the cloud with only 42 percent of that data being unprotected. With 1.2 billion clinical documents produced in the U.S. each year, organizations need a cloud solution that’s cost-effective, scalable, and guarantees security and privacy.
The ETHERFAX Secure Exchange Network (SEN) is the world’s largest fax network, leveraging military-grade encryption and hybrid cloud technology to provide 100 percent secure communications to healthcare organizations, medical groups, insurance companies and billng operators. Supporting every major fax server, application and fax-enabled device, ETHERFAX SEN has more connected endpoints providing end-to-end encryption than any other service.
Despite the evolution of mobile and cloud technologies in business, healthcare organizations still heavily rely on legacy systems to send and receive unstructured data. Legacy systems using traditional PSTN and telephony infrastructure to fax often experience major complications such as delivery failure, slow transmission speeds, and network breaches. IDC found that one out of three patients had their healthcare records compromised by cyberattacks in 2016. To eliminate these risks, hospitals, pharmacies, and insurance companies must modernize legacy systems.
The ETHERFAX Integration Module (EIM) bridges the gap between traditional fax systems and ETHERFAX cloud technology. By extending legacy systems and applications to the cloud, documents are securely delivered to electronic medical record systems and specified fax endpoints via HTTPS.
With ultra-fast transmission speeds, our patented technology enables healthcare organizations to send 100 page documents, EKGs, x-rays and other high-resolution data within seconds.
Here at ETHERFAX, we work every day to transform the exchange of PHI and other business-critical information among the healthcare ecosystem, allowing medical professionals to deliver high-quality care faster and without compromising their personal information.
Our HIMSS Announcements:
We announced a second U.S. patent for our fax solution. The ETHERFAX Remote FAX Interconnect (patent #US 20150071422 A1) implements the virtualization of fax systems and enables remote aggregation of a physical fax device in order to manage and control transmitted data.
We partnered with MaxMD to further enable secure messaging and document transfer across the healthcare ecosystem. As one of the first companies in the country to achieve full accreditation through the Direct Trusted Agent Accreditation Program, MaxMD operates as a Health Information Service Provider, Certificate Authority and Registration Authority.
Our latest collaboration with MultiTech leverages ETHERFAX to cloud-enable the MultiTech FaxFinder fax server solution. This integration enables healthcare organizations to send and receive fax documents via the Internet with end-to-end encryption and guaranteed delivery.
Biscom Fax Server now supports the ETHERFAX technology, giving enterprises a flexible and scalable network to send and receive fax documents via the Internet. The partnership supports Fax-to-Direct, allowing healthcare organizations to transmit documents and data securely, utilizing end-to-end encryption.
We continued to expand and utilize the Fax Federation, the world’s largest fax network to securely transmit data. The collaboration offers a secure, platform-agnostic document delivery network that can transport all types of documents to and from fax providers, fax servers, devices, EMRs, EHRs, and healthcare information exchanges.
