Although it was 100-plus degrees in Las Vegas, the action at the ETHERFAX booth for last week’s HIMSS Global Health Conference and Exhibition was even hotter. We showcased several new products including DirectFax™ via the ETHERFAX Secure Exchange Network (SEN), our integrations with Slack, Teams, and mobile, the ETHERFAX API, and our artificial intelligence (AI) solution for document data extraction.
Each of the live demos and presentations were a hit with leading health IT professionals, clinicians, and executives who praised our unique secure document delivery solutions and device integrations. While other fax providers say they can enhance EHR usability and digitize workflows, ETHERFAX proved it.
For example, we showed how our AI solution for searchable PDFs, OCR, and document data extraction is improving interoperability within the healthcare industry. ETHERFAX AI uses Microsoft’s Cognitive Services to extract and digitize data from a range of unstructured documents and forms, streamlining workflow and eliminating manual entry. Extracted data can then be mapped to third-party systems, allowing tasks such as indexing patient records, scheduling, and referrals to be automated.
We also demonstrated how DirectFax enables organizations to send and receive high-resolution documents from today’s popular fax servers as well as third-party messaging platforms including Slack, Teams, Microsoft Fax, and mobile applications. Leveraging ETHERFAX SEN, organizations can send and receive faxes and PHI documents on Android and iOS mobile phones with near-diagnostic image quality.
As the days at the show went on, we realized that we are a part of something much bigger. We are transforming the fax industry and changing the way organizations send and receive high-quality business communications. Our company has disrupted a multi-billion-dollar industry, and we continue to raise the bar.
