The 2018 HIMSS Conference brought together more than 40,000 health IT professionals, clinicians, executives and vendors from around the world. Our team successfully showcased the ETHERFAX Secure Exchange Network (SEN) for healthcare organizations and the new ETHERFAX SENx solution offering true end-to-end encryption.
As many application integrators and customers already understand the imminent need for better fax security, especially within healthcare, ETHERFAX SENx was well-received. Fax server providers were interested in learning how SENx encrypts sensitive information from the moment it leaves a sending device or application until it is accepted and validated by the receiving party. Using methods defined by the Elliptic Curve Integrated Encryption Scheme (ECIES), SENx guarantees that all communications remain 100 percent secure between the remote client site and the ETHERFAX network.
We were also excited to promote our new fax platform integration with Lexmark! Over the past year, we have been working together to integrate Lexmark devices into the ETHERFAX platform. Lexmark joined us at HIMSS to demonstrate new features for their solutions including faster transmissions, high-resolution, color documents, end-to-end encryption, and secure document exchange. The ETHERFAX team also demonstrated our integration with Ambir Technology’s scanner, which can scan everything from legal size documents to insurance and identification cards. ETHERFAX technology was embedded into Ambir’s hardware to ensure ultra-fast, high-resolution results with guaranteed delivery. Our instantaneous transmit times were a major wow factor in this business fax platform demo!
A hot topic this year was blockchain, which we may incorporate into our fax solutions in the near future. Overall, this was another successful HIMSS experience for the entire ETHERFAX team! Fellow fax server providers were very impressed with our secure, cloud-based solutions as well as the Fax Federation, the world’s largest fax network.
ETHERFAX is committed to redefining the fax industry. The days of modems hissing at one another, sending low-resolution, pixelated images are quickly becoming a relic of the past. With ETHERFAX, securely sending a 50-page, 600dpi color document can take mere seconds instead of hours.
